THEMES WITH THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR
The concept of the wheel of the year arises in many indigenous cultures
such as Native American and Celtic Spirituality. You may be familiar too with the Medicine Wheel in which there are 4 directions, 4 elements, 4 seasons, each with a different energetic focus.
In our program, we will be deepening our spiritual practices
with a variety of Eastern and Western paradigms and modalities including the Medicine Wheel or Wheel of the Year, as well as chakras, Body Mind Heart Spirit, and others. All spiritual paths of Love are welcome here and you'll get to learn, explore and apply everything in the way that feels best for you. :)
We'd like you to establish a 3-ring binder with your materials from this program.
This is not a very curriculum-heavy training because it's very student-based with a lot of coaching and healing as we glow along but we will have some reading materials, audios and videos to support you and it's great to have the written material actually printed out as well as digital. (I am an old-fashioned girl in that way, I also like tangible books made of paper, what a concept, right?! LOL)
To begin, I would love to share with you that we are undertaking this exciting new beginning coinciding with the Celtic magical day February 1 known as Candlemas, Imbolc or (St.) Brigit's Day, which represents spring and new beginnings.
This is considered by some to be a special holiday,
or cross-quarter day, halfway between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.
CELTIC WHEEL OF THE YEAR
Feb. 1 and 2nd, the holiday honors both Brigid, considered to be the Maiden aspect of the triple Goddess, and Mary, representing the Mother aspect of the Goddess. This celebrates womanhood and the Divine Feminine.
In the Christian tradition, Candlemas is about the ChristLight being within all of us, and Jesus being the Light of the World, and it is celebrated with a candlelit procession in church.
So we have a particularly auspicious beginning!

Intuition & Inspiration - May 1 thru July 31 - Element is FIRE - Quarter 2

Money, Mission & Manifestation - Nov. 1 thru Jan. 31 - Element is EARTH - Quarter 4

A) Journaling & Soul Questions about Body & Balance.
Tune into your body as a source of wisdom. You can do this through journaling, meditation or deep listening, or even muscle testing or pendulum if you like to use those methods. Give thanks to your amazing Body and ask your Body:
What do I need less of?
What do I need more of?
How can I FEEL more balance and flow every day?
I also invite you to come to our private FB group and share what are your goals regarding BODY and BALANCE?
On a scale from 1 to 10, how satisfied are you and how connected do you feel to your BODY?
From 1 to 10, how would you rate your current level of LIFE BALANCE?
Post these on our FB group and we will support you and celebrate your shifts. :)
B) Conscious Breathing -
Take 3 to 5 minutes, once, twice or thrice a day,
to really BE PRESENT while you breathe.
We'll be doing lots of breathwork throughout this year and even if you have
been an experienced conscious breather for decades, you will take this practice deeper and get more consistent with it, to feel the benefits more fully.
Here are a few ways to do Conscious Breathing:
1) Follow your breath.
This is the simplest of all. Simply observe your breath.
Imagine your breath is leading you and you are letting go,
surrendering to your own inner flow and rhythm...
2) Heart (Light) Breaths.
Place your hands over your heart chakra and imagine breathing Love & Light in and out of your heart. You can also make a sound like "Ahhhhhh" or purse your lips as you exhale. You can do this heart breathing anytime, anywhere and you'll find it is a great stress reliever and really brings you home to the peace within your own heart.
It is only 12 minutes long and many people love to listen to this first thing in the morning while easing into the day, while still in bed or while doing gentle movements like yoga, or last thing at night to relax into a healing sleep, with gratitude in your heart for your day and your life.
3) Mantra Breaths
With mantra breaths, we are using a word as an inner focal point.
You can say the word aloud or you can just hear it in your Inner Ear,
or see the letters or symbol in your mind's eye.
You can choose mantra words that are qualities you want to embody more of,
for example, Love. Joy. Peace. God. Truth. Now. Oneness. Bliss. Healing. I AM.
Or you can choose a mantra word such as Om or Aum (Sanskrit word for Spirit) or Su (Sanskrit word for good or
excellent) or a mantra associated with the chakras. For mantra breaths, it should be very short, not a long mantra with many words; just 1 or 2 syllables.
Breathe in and out the mantra word.
For example, breathe Peace in, Peace out, over and over....
You may have visual experiences with this, you may "hear" words of love and guidance, you may have sensations in your body, or you may just remain very focused on your bodily breathing, the expansion and contraction and a gentle feeling associated with your positive mantra word.
These are just a few of dozens of ways to deepen your breathing so you breathe more consciously, more presently, more healthfully, more deeply and more freely.
If you have other methods you already know and like, feel free to use those instead or in addition. Please always follow your intuition and act on your own inner inspirations. As we progress in this program, you will find yourself getting "Divine Downloads" more and more!
